نظرت الدائرة الثالثة إرهاب بمحكمة جنايات القاهرة، المنعقدة في مركز إصلاح وتأهيل مدينة بدر، جلسة تجديد حبس كل من الصحفي ياسر أبو العلا وزوجته السيدة/ نجلاء فتحي، على ذمة القضية رقم 1568 لسنة 2024 حصر تحقيق نيابة أمن الدولة العليا، حيث يواجهان اتهامات بـ:

• الانضمام إلى جماعة إرهابية

• نشر أخبار وبيانات كاذبة

• ارتكاب جريمة من جرائم التمويل

وعُقدت الجلسة عبر تقنية الفيديو كونفرانس، حيث ثبت حضور الصحفي ياسر أبو العلا من داخل سجن بدر، وطلب الحديث مع المحكمة، إلا أن القاضي رفض الطلب. وقدم الدفاع الحاضر طلبًا بإخلاء سبيله بأي ضمان تراه المحكمة مناسبًا، واحتياطيًا تفعيل نص المادة 201 من قانون الإجراءات الجنائية باستبدال الحبس الاحتياطي بتدبير احترازي.

أما السيدة نجلاء فتحي، فأنكرت أمام المحكمة جميع التهم الموجهة إليها، موضحة أن سبب القبض عليها جاء بعد تقديمها عدة بلاغات للنائب العام، ومحاولتها التواصل مع الجهات الرسمية خلال فترة اختفاء زوجها قسريًا. وناشدت المحكمة بإخلاء سبيلها، مشيرة إلى أن أبناءها بلا رعاية بسبب كِبر سن جدتهم.

وطالب الدفاع إخلاء سبيلها أيضًا بأي ضمان، أو استبدال الحبس بتدبير احترازي وفقًا للقانون.

Pretrial Detention Renewed for Journalist Yasser Abou El-Ela and His Wife Naglaa Fathy in State Security Case

The Third Terrorism Circuit at Cairo Criminal Court, convening at the Badr Rehabilitation Center, has renewed the pretrial detention of journalist Yasser Abou El-Ela and his wife Naglaa Fathy, pending investigation in Case No. 1568 of 2024 by the Supreme State Security Prosecution.

The couple faces charges of:

• Joining a terrorist group,

• Publishing false news,

• Committing a financing-related crime.

The court session was held via video conference, with Abou El-Ela appearing from Badr Prison. He requested to speak directly to the court, but the judge denied his request. His defense lawyer requested his release under any form of judicial guarantee or applying Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code to replace detention with precautionary measures.

Naglaa Fathy denied all accusations, stating that she was arrested after filing multiple complaints to the Public Prosecutor and appealing to official bodies during her husband’s disappearance. She pleaded for her release, citing that her children are left without care due to their grandmother’s old age.

Her defense echoed the same request: release under judicial guarantee or application of alternative precautionary measures in place of detention.
